Faith & Freedom Statement On Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Duluth, GA – Tim Head, Executive Director of the pro-Israel Faith & Freedom Coalition issued the following statement on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recording a fifth term in office with his Likud Party election win yesterday.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu’s victory showcased his abilities as a skilled statesman and master strategist amidst shifting trends in the Israeli electorate, which allowed him to score a win in one of his career’s most closely fought elections. The 35 seats won by the Likud party were the best result his party has seen in the last 15 years, proving Netanyahu’s political skill exceeds any other politician in Israel. He is now set to become the longest-serving prime minister in the country’s history, eclipsing Israel’s founding father David Ben-Gurion. Netanyahu won because of the size of the right-wing bloc, especially among the ultra-Orthodox community. Its two parties, Shas and United Torah Judaism, won eight seats each, marking their best result in years.”
