Faith & Freedom Coalition Commends Trump Administration and Department of Education for its Response to COVID-19

DULUTH, Ga. – Faith & Freedom Coalition commends the Trump administration and the Department of Education for helping millions of families and children during this time of unprecedented disruption in their learning. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has proactively and quickly responded to the crisis by helping education leaders in every state to address this emergency effectively.

Secretary Betsy DeVos recently spoke at the White House Coronavirus Task Force Press Briefing to share about distance learning recommendations for K-12 education and colleges. The Trump administration is taking decisive actions to keep children safe and healthy so that they can continue learning. The administration has offered waivers to schools postponing SATs, providing microgrants to teachers, set student loan interest to 0% and deferred loan payments up to 60 days through the CARES Act. They have continued to support families adapting to homeschooling and online learning by being in touch with education leaders across the country to understand their needs.
