Faith & Freedom Celebration Recap

This past weekend more than 1,300 conservatives joined together at the Tampa Theatre for the Faith and Freedom Celebration to kick off the Republican National Convention in Tampa, FL. Attendees heard from conservative powerhouse voices such as Speaker Newt Gingrich, Governor Mike Huckabee, Governor Scott Walker, Texas GOP Senate nominee Ted Cruz, Phyllis Schlafly, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, and incoming Speaker of the Florida House Will Weatherford.  FFC Chairman Ralph Reed addressed the crowd as well, stating that millions of Christians that did not go to the polls in 2008 will turn out to the polls in November and help contribute to the biggest election victory in history. Grammy and Dove award-winning artist John Schlitt (former lead singer of Head East and Petra) was on hand as well to perform his new hit “Faith and Freedom”.  Click here to hear the song.  To view highlights of this exciting event, click here.
