DNC drops “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance

DULUTH, Ga. – Last night marked the third day of the Democratic National Convention. The speakers shared their vision for a united America. But one thing is clear: the America they want isn’t an America united under God. CBN News revealed that “under God” was left out of the Pledge of Allegiance at least twice during public meetings at the Democratic National Convention.

“The last three nights have made clear that Democrats do not want to put God first in our nation,” said Timothy Head, executive director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. “Their LGBTQ platform leaves little room for religious liberty. Not including ‘under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance just shows that they are ready and willing to take God out of our country.”

Last night also saw Kamala Harris, Joe Biden’s running mate, officially accept the nomination for Vice President. And judging by the effusive praise Kamala’s speech has received from journalists, it’s no surprise the mainstream media has been labeled “cheerleaders masquerading as reporters.” In particular, Kamala was praised for how her speech showed her concern for America’s most vulnerable. But that praise is misplaced. Harris has co-sponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, the most aggressive pro-abortion federal legislation ever introduced to Congress. The law would invalidate all state-level protections for unborn children after the point of viability and up until birth. Harris has also twice voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would require doctors to provide the same care to infants who survive abortions as they would to any other newborn.

“The Biden/Harris ticket is the most pro-abortion candidacy in American history,” continued Timothy Head. “Harris’s record shows how little Democrats value the sanctity of life. If we want to show true concern for the most vulnerable, we have to get out and vote our faith-based values and protect the unborn!”
