The Virginia Chapter of the Faith & Freedom Coalition and The Family Foundation of Virginia co-sponsored the first debate among four of the seven Republicans running for governor there. Our chapter Chairwoman Aliscia Andrews said it was an honor to moderate the debate. The four candidates—Del. Kirk Cox, Glenn Youngkin, Sergio de la Peña, and Peter Doran—met on a Sunday evening in April at a church outside Richmond to debate issues like education, law enforcement, and the economy. Each of the candidates had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their plans for the state to Virginia voters of faith.“We are thrilled that Virginia Faith & Freedom Coalition was able to host this important conversation between the Republican candidates running for governor,” said Faith & Freedom Coalition Executive Director Tim Head. “The people of Virginia deserve to know exactly who they are voting for, and this event was the perfect opportunity to showcase many of the strong conservative voices that the state has to offer them.”We congratulate the Virginia chapter for hosting this successful debate less than two weeks before the state party’s nominating convention.”
