DULUTH, Ga. — Today Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares filed a motion to have Virginia removed as an amicus state in support of Jackson Women’s Health Organization, an abortion clinic, in the Supreme Court case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
Attorney General Miyares was sworn into office last Saturday alongside Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears. Together, the three represent a conservative future for the state of Virginia.
“It’s impossible to fight for faith and freedom without first fighting for life. We commend Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares for taking a stand and siding with life. Our most vulnerable Americans need leaders like him to fight for them” said Faith and Freedom Coalition Executive Director Timothy Head.
“When Virginians showed up to vote in the November elections, they made a statement when they elected principled, pro-life candidates like Attorney General Miyares. He represents the values Virginians have been waiting for their leaders to prioritize for the past decade, and we look forward to seeing what else Attorney General Miyares will do over the next four years to promote and protect conservative values.”
The Faith & Freedom Coalition works to help elect and support conservative leaders across the country through voter education and by advocating for pro-faith, pro-family and pro-life legislation. The organization made more than 3.5 million voter contacts ahead of the recent Virginia elections, and their efforts helped contribute to the many conservative victories in November.
