Statement On U.S. Supreme Court Decision To Uphold Trump Executive Order

Duluth, GA – Faith & Freedom Coalition Chairman Ralph Reed issued the following statement on today’s unanimous decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold President Trump’s Executive Order that placed a temporary ban on travel to the United States from six nation’s in the Middle East. “The Supreme Court was correct to affirm President Trump’s policy to secure our borders and protect the homeland by hitting the pause button on immigration from countries that threatens our security.  People of faith support reforming America’s broken immigration system but believe securing the border is a critical first step. The federal government has a constitutional responsibility to protect the homeland. That is why we support the Trump administration’s policy of strictly vetting foreign nationals from countries plagued by civil war, terrorism and Islamic radical extremism that pose a danger to our security.”
