Statement by Raplh Reed on Obama Contraception Madnade “Compromise”

The Obama administration’s attempt at damage control over its federal mandate on religious organizations and charities is an insult to the intelligence of the American people. Under Obama’s policy religious organizations will still be forced to offer health insurance to their employees that violates their conscience and contradicts their religious teaching. This mandate shows the president’s insensitivity if not outright hostility towards religion and the right of Americans to practice their faith free from government coercion. It also pulls back the curtain on what Obamacare might look like when fully implemented. It is not a pretty picture, and this issue will not go away.
