Sen. Tim Scott & Chris Christie Will Address Faith & Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” Policy Conference 2023

DULUTH, Ga. – The Faith & Freedom Coalition today announced special guests Sen. Tim Scott and Chris Christie as Keynote Speakers for its 2023 Road to Majority Policy Conference, the largest public policy gathering of conservative and Christian activists in the nation.

Road to Majority will feature over 70 speakers and an estimated 3,000 attendees throughout the weekend. The purpose of the conference is to empower conservative activists to fight for their values at the polls and in the public arena and to equip attendees with the knowledge and connections they need to drive engagement and voter turnout.

Tim Scott has served as the junior senator from South Carolina since 2013.

Scott grew up and went on to attend college in Charleston, South Carolina. After graduating with a degree in political science from Charleston Southern University, Scott got his start in politics in 1995 on the Charleston County Council.

He remained there until 2009 when he began serving in the South Carolina General Assembly. He then represented South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives starting in 2011.

In 2013, then-Governor Nikki Haley appointed Scott to the U.S. Senate, and he won a special election in 2014 to retain the seat. Senator Scott was elected to a full term in 2016 and reelected in 2022. Notably, in his role as senator, he was responsible for creating the Opportunity Zones program that was included in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

Chris Christie served as governor of New Jersey from 2010 to 2018, where he spearheaded various initiatives to promote economic growth, fiscal responsibility, education, and job creation.

Before being governor, Christie practiced law for over a decade at a New Jersey-based firm, focusing on securities law and election law until President George W. Bush appointed him as the U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey. For seven years, beginning in 2002, he prioritized going after political and corporate corruption, terrorism, gang violence, and human trafficking.

In 2016, Christie sought the Republican nomination for president of the United States, and from 2018 to 2023, he was a contributor for ABC News. He also opened a law firm with his wife, Mary Pat, in 2018.

Sen. Tim Scott and Chris Christie, both 2024 presidential candidates, will join previously confirmed speakers President Donald J. Trump, Gov. Ron DeSantis, Vice President Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Asa Hutchinson, Larry Elder, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Sen. Josh Hawley, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, Jeanine Pirro, Todd Starnes, Kari Lake, and Benny Johnson.
