Rick Perry confirmed for FL FCC Presidency V Event

From the small town of Paint Creek, the 47th Governor of Texas grew up in a home of tenant farmers. He was the first generation of his family to attend college, where he graduated from Texas A&M University in 1972. After graduation, Perry joined the United States Air Force as a tactical aircraft pilot. Honorably discharged in 1977, he returned home to the family farm. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Perry ran for office in the Texas House. After serving three terms in the House, two terms as Agricultural Commissioner, and serving as Lieutenant Governor, Perry became Governor in 2000 and has successfully served three terms.
