Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act Passes U.S. House of Representatives

Duluth, GA – Tim Head, executive director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition issued the following statement on passage today of H.R. 36, the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” by the U.S. House of Representatives. “Today the U.S. House of Representatives took a giant step in stopping the abhorrent practice of taking the life of an unborn child after the 20th week of pregnancy when medical science shows the child can feel pain.  Thanks to the leadership of President Donald J. Trump, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Rep. Trent Franks, and other pro-life leaders, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act now goes to the U.S. Senate. Millions of people of faith who went to the polls in record numbers in 2016, based largely upon the promise of a pro-life President and Congress, expect the Senate to bring this legislation to the floor for a recorded vote where Senators must decide whether or not to stop this dangerous procedure that kills the most innocent among us at a time when they can sense great pain.”
