FFC Supports U.S. Senate Restrictions of Federal Funding of Planned Parenthood

Washington, DC – Below is a statement from Timothy Head, Executive Director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, regarding passage Thursday of a budget “reconciliation” bill by the United States Senate that would restrict Medicaid payments to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and repeal spending provisions in Obamacare. “Today the U.S. Senate took a historic step to stop forcing taxpayers to subsidize abortion providers like Planned Parenthood and to repeal the harmful taxes and regulations that are making health care less affordable under Obamacare. We have all been horrified by the videos of Planned Parenthood officials talking about selling the body parts of aborted babies while they casually sip wine. Thank you to Senate Leader McConnell and all of his colleagues who have voted to stop forcing Americans to fund the largest abortion provider in the nation, and for reducing the burden on taxpayers imposed by Obamacare.” To speak with a representative of Faith & Freedom, please contact Lance Lemmonds at
