Faith & Freedom Coalition Statement On Ninth Circuit Decision To Allow Trump Administration To Enforce Title X “Protect Life Rule”

Washington, DC – Faith & Freedom Coalition Executive Director Tim Head released the following statement on the Ninth Circuit Court’s decision to lift an injunction to allow the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to prohibit federal grant funding to organizations such as Planned Parenthood where abortions are performed.

“The over 1.8 million members and supporters of Faith & Freedom are elated that the Trump administration can now implement the “Protect Life Rule” at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) to cut taxpayer funding of abortion services as part of the Title X family planning program. As a result of the Ninth Circuit stay on the unconstitutional injunctions placed on HHS implementation of the rule, grant recipients such as Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers will be required to comply with the Final Rule, effectively stopping Title X family planning dollars from supporting abortion procedures.”
