DULUTH, Ga. – The Faith & Freedom Coalition mourns the loss of Ravi Zacharias, the renowned evangelist and apologist for the Christian faith who died in his home in Atlanta from sarcoma. Zacharias was known and celebrated throughout the world for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through a robust apologetics and evangelism program. In 1984, the Ravi Zacharias International Ministries was launched with the goal of equipping believers to defend their faith and witnessing to the transformative power of the Gospel.
“Heaven gained an extraordinary saint today, but the world lost an exceptional warrior for the gospel,” said Timothy Head, executive director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. “Ravi Zacharias’s sharp mind, winsome words and compassion for the lost will be missed by millions. We at the Faith & Freedom Coalition send our condolences and prayers to the Zacharias family, and we reaffirm our shared commitment to bringing the light of God’s truth to a dark and broken world.”
