DULUTH, Ga. – In what is shaping up to be the largest faith-based get-out-the-vote campaign in modern American history, hundreds of canvassers for the Faith and Freedom Coalition have knocked on 1 million doors nationwide in August. The campaign is a key part of the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s efforts to encourage conservative voters in key battleground states to vote for Trump in 2020. The 1 million door mark was reached over Labor Day weekend.
“This is an incredible milestone in grassroots organizing,” said Timothy Head, executive director of the Faith and Freedom Coalition. “We’re not just reaching more people than ever before; we’re doing it faster and earlier, and we’re seeing more enthusiasm on the ground than in the past. The 2020 election will be decisive for the future of American values, and we want conservatives across the country to know the stakes and vote accordingly.”
Canvassers for the Faith and Freedom Coalition knocked on 1.2 million doors during the 2016 election and 2.25 million doors during the 2018 midterms. But in 2020, the Faith and Freedom Coalition has set the goal of reaching over 4 million people before Nov. 3. By hitting the 1 million door mark at the start of September, the Faith and Freedom Coalition is poised to meet that goal.
