Faith & Freedom Coalition Founder and Chairman Ralph Reed responds to the first presidential Debate Between President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris:
“Last night the American people watched a debate in which President Trump debated three people, not just his opponent. ABC’s moderators failed our nation with the most biased and unfair broadcast of a presidential debate in the history of American politics. They constantly ‘ fact-checked’ President Trump with inaccurate or false statements and allowed Kamala Harris to slide with canned answers and empty soliloquies. Even with that bias, Kamala Harris presented no plan to strengthen the economy beyond a massive tax increase and more spending and giveaway programs that reflect the same failed policies of the past four years.
On the border, Harris accepted no responsibility for 10 million illegal alien crossings, and actually attempted to blame her opponent for her own failures. This will not fly in battleground states like Arizona, Nevada, and others. On energy, Harris gave no explanation for her flip-flop on banning fracking or her past support for the Green New Deal. On abortion, she took the radical position that she will repeal the Senate filibuster to pass a federal law imposing abortion-on-demand at every stage of pregnancy, repealing almost all reasonable state-level restrictions. She also bragged about her administration’s abuse of the justice system to try to throw her political opponent in prison and declared herself regret-free over the Biden-Harris administration’s decision to precipitously withdraw from Afghanistan, humiliating our nation, emboldening Vladimir Putin and other adversaries, killing 13 U.S. servicemen and women, and badly injuring 45 soldiers.
Across all of these issues, Kamala Harris made clear that she agrees with the failures of her and Joe Biden’s administration and would adopt policies even more radical and liberal.
