Faith & Freedom Coalition Delivers Over 33,000 Public Comments On Protect Life Rule

Duluth, GA – Pro-life conservatives from the Faith & Freedom Coalition flooded the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services with 33,130 public comments urging the Trump administration to adopt the “Protect Life Rule” and cut all taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood.

“Faith & Freedom activists from across the country stepped up to the plate to support President Trump’s ‘Protect Life Rule’ to stop Title X family planning dollars from supporting Planned Parenthood or other abortion providers,” said Executive Director Tim Head. “We will continue to pressure HHS to stand for innocent human life and adopt the rule to cut off Planned Parenthood’s largest source of federal tax dollars each year.”

Pro-life activists mobilized in support of the Protect Life Rule with over 86,000 comments, dramatically outpacing the pro-abortion left who managed to send just 56,126 comments opposing the new rule.

“Planned Parenthood and the activists and media that support them are well-organized and well-funded, but Faith & Freedom activists took them head-on—and beat them at their own game,” added Head.

HHS must still review the over 150,000 public comments before reaching a final decision on the Protect Life Rule. If implemented, the new Trump administration rule would cut-off $60 million of federal funding in support of abortion services provided by Planned Parenthood and other providers.
