DULUTH, Ga. – The Faith & Freedom Coalition applauds the Trump administration for its decision to temporarily pause a variety of job-related visas, including the H-1B program, the H-2B program and the L program, in addition to certain H-4 and J visas. The decision comes at a time of mass unemployment due to COVID-19, with 13.3% of Americans unemployed, according to the most recent jobs report.
“Putting a pause on visas during this time is not merely the economically savvy choice — it is the moral choice,” said Timothy Head, executive director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. “Millions of Americans are out of work and wondering how they’ll provide for their families. By temporarily limiting the pool of applicants, President Trump is empowering Americans to get back to work and reboot our economy.”
