“The nation and the entire world has lost one of the giant figures in modern history with the passing of the 41st President of the United States, George Herbert Walker Bush. A true American hero, George H.W. Bush dedicated his life to public service, first fighting as a naval aviator in World War II, and later as a member of Congress, Ambassador, director of the CIA, Vice President and President of the United States, where he guided our nation through a peaceful victory in the Cold War. I was privileged to count him as a friend and experience his unfailing generosity and kindness. George H.W. Bush set an example for us all with his dignity and character as a public servant, a devoted husband, and a loving father. The Bush family is in our prayers today as we mourn the loss of George Herbert Walker Bush, one of the finest men to ever serve our nation.”
