FAITH IN ACTION

Couple Forced to Host Same-Sex Wedding or Pay Fine

A couple in New York is being forced to host a same-sex wedding on their family farm or pay a fine of $13,000. Cynthia and Robert Gifford declined hosting the wedding at their family farm due to their religious beliefs that marriage is between one man and one woman. However, the New York State Division of Human Rights disagrees and considers the Gifford’s beliefs as discriminatory. Unless they agree to host the wedding, they will have to pay the fee. Whether they choose to pay the fee or not, they and their staff will have to take part in anti-discrimination re-education classes. We must continue to fight the war on religion!  Contact the New York State Division of Human Rights and tell them to stop infringing upon our religious beliefs.
