Statement on Iran Prisoner Release

Statement from Timothy Head, Executive Director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, on the release today by the government of Iran of four Americans held captive: “We rejoice today upon the release of Christian pastor Saeed Abedini as well as Washington post journalist Jason Rezaian, Nosratollah Khosrawi, and U.S Marine Amir Hekmati. These Americans were imprisoned on false charges and subjected to inhumane treatment by a rogue Iranian regime bent on prioritizing political objectives over fundamental human rights.Whatever Iran’s motives were for releasing them, the world should welcome their release and hope that those held captive will find healing in their return home.”
