Strong families play a pivotal role in society. They hold us accountable, support us in hard times and ensure that future generations are equipped to achieve more than their parents. Unfortunately in at least one respect North Carolina’s criminal justice system inadvertently undermines the family and the youth that are its charge.

The Conservative Action Project, chaired by former Attorney General Edwin Meese and former Congressman David McIntosh, is designed to facilitate conservative leaders working together on behalf of common goals.

In the coming year, the American people will be making decisions about the leaders they want to represent them in Federal office. We call upon all those seeking public office to promise to return America to a true and prosperous Nation grounded in constitutional principles and a restoration of Federalism in order to receive the support of tens of millions of citizens represented by the American Conservative Movement.
